It’s been quarterly pay day for me, so another good increase in my net worth in the right direction (and why I have so much in cash).

The stock market hasn’t been too kind lately, but with monthly contributions to index funds my portfolio’s still growing.

  1. Hi GFC,

Congratulations on the monthly increase. That’s quite substantial, especially in cash. You’re right, the stock market has been a little rough lately. There are some nice value stocks on offer on the other hand.

It’s refreshing to come across another UK based FI Blog. I’ll be sure to keep an eye on your progress. All the very best!

    • Thanks Huw – great to hear from you.

I’d love to follow your lead and be free by forty, but that would involve far too many lifestyle sacrifices for me – as other commenter’s have noted, I do spend a lot on hobbies 😉
